1/25 '96 Chevy C3500
Dually!
The ‘96 c-3500 by AMT is a statement piece. Large fenders, long wheelbase, massive bed- just about everything a work truck needs.
When I saw this kit at Walmart, I knew I just had to get it! Even though I'm a fan of small and sleek Japanese sports cars, I'd been looking for a big truck kit to build for a very long time.
The last truck kit I built was the Revell GMC snowplow, and that thing was a 7th grade rush build- as can be seen.
Overall, this kit is a great build. Low parts count, high outside and interior detail, tons of decals, and easy to follow instructions.

This kit has a bit of a unfortunate history though, which comes back to bite it, even today. It started its story as the snap fit street machine version, and as such, has no engine for display!
Additionally, there are no guides for the decals, so you’ll have to guess where they go. But hey, at least the sheet is massive, so you can customize and end up with the exact truck you want. I was able to figure out where most of them went, like the gauges on the dash.
In summary, this kit is a fun build, but it has some detractors. It's a statement of a truck compared to other vehicles on my shelf, but the lack of a decal guide and engine details limits display options. I found mine for 19.99 though, so it's still great fun for a good price.
